JONATHAN MASON ANNOUNCES RUN FOR DISTRICT 30 STATE REPRESENTATIVE

Jonathan Mason to seek vacant District 30 House Seat

Hamilton County, TN, September 14, 2017- Jonathan Mason on Thursday announced his intentions to run for the District 30 State Representative seat covering East Hamilton County, including areas of Chattanooga, East Ridge, East Brainerd, Apison, and Collegedale. This announcement comes after the news that current State Rep. Marc Gravitt would not seek reelection, choosing to run for Hamilton County Register of Deeds.

Mr. Mason said, “Seeking public office is an endeavor that has required much prayer. Having worked diligently to ensure principled, conservative representation within District 30 and areas across Hamilton County, I now ask for the privilege to serve. I am honored by the many community and business leaders that have offered words of encouragement and support, and thankful to my wife and family for taking this step by my side to represent the citizens of District 30.

A graduate of Carson Newman College, Jonathan recently moved back to East Brainerd with his wife Rachael and their two children after many years in East Ridge. He is a past Chairman of the Hamilton County Young Republicans, served as Treasurer of East Ridge Revitalization, and has been a member of several community advisory boards. Jonathan currently works in the insurance sector and owns a salon with his wife. Together they are long time members of Morris Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Mason is seeking the Republican nomination for the office of District 30 Representative. The Republican Primary will be held on August 2nd, 2018
